Changelog

Per-version release notes for the Only What Matters iOS app.

0.0.5 · in progress, May 2026

Content quality refactor + remaining v0.0.4 deferred items + new personalization.

  • News typography refinement. New font scale (reportTitle 30pt, reportSummary 18pt, itemLead 19pt, itemBody 16pt). Section dividers, increased line spacing, opacity refinements.
  • News dailiness signal. The staleness banner now reads "Daily updates expected" when reports are stale, and adds a Why isn't today's report here? link to the status page.
  • Moves tab icon. Switched to building.columns to convey the "institutional movement" semantic (replacing the generic up/down arrows).
  • Moves detail page. NavigationStack-based detail view with bio, holdings table, and avatar fallback (named image → first-letter circle).
  • Personalized Impact (For You). Optional 6-dimension weight customization (Money / Skill / Power / Health / Geo / Attention). Weights stored in local UserDefaults; never synced. The "For everyone | For you" segmented control switches between universal and personalized ordering. Strictly weighting and reordering — no natural-language recommendations.
  • Impact descriptive strictness. Onboarding sheet + tagline now state "Descriptive aggregation only — not advice" explicitly.
  • Settings → About section. Privacy / Disclosure / Version history / Open source on GitHub. Each opens in an in-app SafariSheet (returns to Settings on dismiss).
  • Web companion launched at only-what-matters.logicgate.cc with the Daily Brief plus the Privacy / Disclosure / Changelog / Status pages you are reading now.

0.0.4 · April 29, 2026

i18n completion + color palette alignment. Sealed at reduced scope.

  • Internationalization completion. 12 missing zh-Hans translations across News, Moves, and shared chrome. Eight Institution display names in Chinese (Buffett / Pelosi / PIF / Burry / Ackman / ARK / Bridgewater / Renaissance). All six Impact tag labels and taglines (Money / Skill / Power / Health / Geo / Attention). All six News section titles. Move freshness labels (today / this week / this month / N days ago).
  • Tab rename: Shift → Frontiers (前沿). Tagline rewritten to emphasize basic research + first-principles breakthroughs, distinguishing it from corporate product launches.
  • Color palette refresh. Background light #fafafa / dark #1a1a2e (warm deep blue). Accent #0066cc (light) / #4d9fff (dark). Foreground secondary moved from alpha to grey value (#555 / #a0a0a0) for cleaner light/dark behavior.

Architecture rebuild: 5-tab independence + real-data News + curated Moves.

  • 5-tab navigation. News / Moves / Shift / Impact / Settings, each tab designed to match its content shape rather than a forced uniform row template.
  • News goes live. Direct Markdown fetch from the public archive repo, with seven-day local cache and zh→en locale fallback. Long-form reading layout (six sections, bold lead paragraphs).
  • Moves curated. Eight curated institutional investors (Buffett / Pelosi / PIF / Burry / Ackman / ARK / Bridgewater / Renaissance) with first-letter circle avatars, freshness sorting (today / this week / this month / N days ago), and click-to-expand additions/reductions.
  • Impact rebuilt as six dimensions. Removed the Impact tag pills entirely (kept only as internal grouping). Each dimension shown as its own section in the Impact tab.
  • Settings tab + Apple-native language switching. Single "Manage in Settings" button deep-links to iOS Settings for the per-app Preferred Language picker, matching Apple HIG conventions.

0.0.1 · April 25, 2026

Initial skeleton.

  • Three-section home view. News / Moves / Shift in a single scrollable view, with hand-edited sample signals.
  • Six-color Impact pill system. Used briefly as signal metadata; removed entirely in 0.0.2 after the "not useful and not pretty" user verdict.
  • Asset catalog + design tokens. Light/dark backgrounds and foregrounds, six Impact dimension colors, semantic spacing scale (xs/sm/md/lg/xl).
  • Bundled signal repository. Protocol + JSON-backed implementation + mock + schema-version compatibility downgrade.
  • App icon: "01 Soft Bloom". Eighteen PNG variants (iPhone + iPad + 1024 marketing).
